Connecting piece for two RP01125 access covers. Two round openings become one continuous access opening — the large version, with a centre distance of 225 mm, for wider connection points: socket strips, power supplies, several boxes side by side.

Size comparison — which opening do you need?
The opening
Two Ø125 mm holes at a centre distance of 225 mm. The material between them is removed, giving a slot of 350 × 125 mm with a 62,5 mm radius at each end. The connecting piece bridges the middle section; both covers stay individually locked and individually openable.
175 or 225 mm?
Both connecting pieces work on the same principle and differ only in the length of the middle section. The XT01175 gives a slot of 300 × 125 mm, the XT01225 one of 350 × 125 mm. What matters is how wide the connection point behind the back panel actually is.
As a rule of thumb from practice: the XT01175 opening reaches a four-gang socket frame, the XT01225 opening a five-gang frame.
What you need
- 1 × XT01225 connecting piece
- 2 × RP01125, either in the Standard or the Heavy Duty version — together with two standard covers the connecting piece is available under the “Set with 2 × RP01125” option, cheaper there than ordering separately
- Fixing screws: MS0312
The connecting pieces are designed for the RP01125. They cannot be combined with the smaller RP01080.
Installation
Mark out and cut the slot. On both mounting frames the segment facing the centre is cut away so that the frames sit flush against the connecting piece. Then screw the connecting piece and the frames in together, insert the covers and lock them.

A note on what is included
The set contains two covers in the standard version. If you would like to use Heavy Duty covers, order the connecting piece as a single part and the covers separately.
