cabset develops and manufactures service access technology for furniture. Wherever connections and installations disappear behind finished carcasses, our components create an access point that stays closed and can be opened tool-free at any time.
Born out of installation practice
Behind cabset stands Tom Gernat, a master joiner. The first access cover was not drawn at a desk but grew out of a situation that kept repeating during kitchen installations: a recirculating downdraft extractor ducts its exhaust air behind the cabinet back panel, while an open service opening for the cooker connection box sits in the very same carcass — so the air flows straight back into the cabinet. Improvised covers never solved it for good. So a component was designed that seals the opening and still reopens within seconds. The RP01125 is the first product in this line.
Manufacture
All parts are produced in Gütersloh using 3D printing — in-house, without intermediaries. That keeps the distances short and makes it possible to feed changes straight back from practical experience into the product.
Registered design
The design of the RP01125 is protected as a registered Community design at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), registration number 015150911-0001.
